Top 4 Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas that Rock!
Having 4 Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas can help take the pressure off of what to do for the holidays.
Do you scan Pinterest looking for creative ways to entertain? I do. There are so many ideas that I like to narrow my options down to a few to focus on.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I’ve had many entertainment traditions for this holiday including
- Watching Anne of Green Gables (the entire series)
- Tag football
- Black Friday shopping (on Thursday night)
- Running a 5K
- Host a Tea Party
The 4 Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas that are listed below can start the ball rolling to your holiday planning.
Host a Tea Party
Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I have enjoyed both beverages but when it comes to Thanksgiving entertainment ideas, nothing beats a tea party.
Get out your fine china, a few bags of tea for your guests to sample, and some chocolate chip pumpkin scones. It is a fancy but simple way to celebrate thankfulness.
Smoke a Turkey
Admittedly, I’ve never thought about smoking a turkey but it sounds good. I’ve seen some YouTube videos where the turkey catches fire which could be classified as Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas but I’ll settle for Leslie’s tutorial instead. On her blog, From Playdates to Parties, she takes you through the process step by step.
Last year was my first experience cooking a turkey which will be highlighted soon. If you aren’t a cook, then you may want to read these ideas so that your efforts to put food on the table doesn’t become the entertaining factor of the holiday.
Crockpot Beverages
Next, Ashley from Quirky Inspired helps you prepare a delicious beverage table. Having a variety of drinks at a central location during a meal sets the stage for amazing Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas. You can provide cute straws, unique drinks, wonderful specialty toppings to deck out your beverage.
I try to set a separate beverage table while entertaining. It also provides a place for people to congregate after the meal or while you are changing out courses if you are really going over the top for Thanksgiving.
Outdoor Movie
If you are fortunate to live in an area that you can entertain outdoors for Thanksgiving, then this idea is for you.
Kelli and Kristi from Lolly Jane hosted an event at a hotel. Their food stations were adorable and the movie screen was enviable.
You could completely modify these Thanksgiving Entertainment Ideas and make it work for your space, budget, and guest list. We love to live outdoor and we have hosted several parties to watch Championship Games or movies with the kids.
Go low tech and grab a sheet, an old projector, and watch the football games or pick a movie.
