I’ve got them for you. These 5 quick ways to spruce up your home will have you singing a happy tune as you watch the leaves fall from the trees.
There are a few go -to suggestions that I do if I want a quick change or inexpensive change to my home decor.
I am starting the last leg of our home renovations. You may have noticed that I haven’t posted as often this summer. The projects that we tackled were huge and very time consuming.
But- I’m back and I’ll be letting you have sneak peaks of our renovation process and recapping our backyard makeover.
I’ve also been working on some video projects that I hope to release over the next few weeks so keep watching for those. They are how-to tutorials to help my readers do some of the projects that we’ve done.
Until then, here are 5 Quick Ways to Spruce up your home.
Fall is a great time to change the look of your entrance or door. Wreaths are quick and can be inexpensive. You can even recycle older wreaths that you have in your attic and add a custom house number or your surname initial.
This non-traditional wreath tutorial is a perfect example of repurposing a Goodwill find. Check the tutorial out here.
Sabrina from Meet Our Life approaches a wreath project more traditionally. Her tutorial is detailed and she adds a custom initial. This is a perfect way to quickly spruce up your home.
I’ve been wanting to do a project involving shiplap. I’ve used removable wallpaper in a few rooms but I’m ready to step up my skills.
I’m glad that Debra at Shoppe No. 5 details a pumpkin wall hanging tutorial. I was going to just dive into using shiplap on the walls of one of our bathroom renovations.
A better idea would be to follow Debra’s tutorial to crank out a quick home decor item. After working with shiplap on a small scale, then I can decide if I like it for a bigger project.
The next two features did a wonderful job inspiring quick ways to spruce up your home with room makeover ideas. I like to keep a Pinterest board of all of my room makeover ideas. You can check out our ideas here.
Do you have a hard time narrowing down DIY projects? I do. There are so many styles and ideas that get me excited to create but I want to make sure that each room flows to the next so I’m getting chooser about what I pick.
Angie from Country Chic Cottage was a real inspiration to me. She decked out a boys room in a football theme. She paid great attention to color and print detail. None of the projects look like they took long to complete so it qualifies for our quick ways to spruce up a room.
Now I’m ready to “tackle” my kids pilot theme room with final quick projects to tie the theme together.
I featured Lolly Jane in previous link parties. I like their simple elegance. This kids bathroom makeover is adorable.
I like their suggestions for quick ways to spruce up the room. Drawer pulls, hooks, and hanging storage are great and very simple ways to spruce up any space. They purchased their upgrades at Target. You’ve got to love that.
I know that you have an idea of what project you want to do. Which one of the 5 quick ways to spruce up in your home this fall are you going to do?
