DIY Home Decor Ideas can be simple or extremely complex.
Which type of DIY Home Decor Ideas do you like the best?
Are you on the lookout for simple ideas?
Do you want some big projects to tackle with help from us?
Admittedly, It really depends on my mood, finances, and time of what type of DIY Home Decor ideas I want to try.
On one day, I’m scanning Pinterest for a simple idea that will take me an hour…..tops! It might be for a gift or just a way to use some of my extra materials.
When I tackle a unique DIY Home Decor project and I have the time, then I’m more inclined to seek out a major undertaking. I consider a major project to take me more than a weekend.
How about you? Comment below about what DIY Home Decor Ideas you would like help on!
Easy Projects in an Hour
I keep a list of projects that I want to complete and these very talented ladies provided me with great inspiration.
First to start our creative juices flowing is White House Crafts. She offers a great tutorial on how to gold leaf a wood sign. I’ve played with gold leaf on many set designs but never on a small sign to hang in my home. This DIY Home Decor Idea can be completed quickly and it is super cute.
I just attended a conference and cut the word “Gather” out of wood using a Ryobi jigsaw. I loved working with the amazing reps from Ryobi and now I want a jigsaw. For now, I am debating whether to gold leaf my sign or paint it.
What would you do?
Paint or Gold Leaf? Comment below please.
Our next project of easy DIY Home Decor Ideas speaks to me because of the costal theme. I love the beach and all things that remind me of my happy place. Anika from Anika’s DIY Life knocked it out of the park for me with these candles. I don’t care if I live 8 hours away from seashells, I love this beach-inspired project.
I love all things to prepare for a brides big day. This simple gift can be to the bride as a keepsake or a gift from the bride as a thank you. Either way, this simple DIY Home Decor Idea designed by Crafts Unleashed could be accomplished in an hour.
It was a pleasure to meet Crystal from The Weathered Fox in person at Haven this past week. I have featured her items before and I continue to be drawn to her style. The sign she created could certainly add some character to any DIY Home Decor. This is another easy project that could be completed in an hour or two.
Stepping UP Your Game
These next few features are certainly more involved and the tutorials provided are great. If you are feeling ambitious, check these DIY Home Decor Ideas out and let us know how you did.
Kristen and Vicki from Timeless Creations LLC used stain to transform this table. I am a fan of painting tables which you can read about here. But, I have never played with stain. I’m now on the lookout for something to re-purpose so that I can use this technique.
Anika from Anika’s DIY Life knocks it out of the park with this DIY Home Decor Project. This tutorial is easy to follow but strap on your boots because she is going to make you build the table from scratch. I love the final product and on a more ambitious day, I want to create this mirror console table.
Sometimes you just need a little inspiration to step out of your comfort zone. I had an old ugly piano for 15 years before I dreamed of painting it. It took a few hours of painting and me deciding on a final design but the payoff has been worth it.
Not only does the piano sound beautiful but it looks gorgeous as well. Check out the process here and see if you want to tackle this DIY Home Decor Project.
Bring It back Full Circle
Pun totally intended! I’m a fan of the Olympics. These DIY Home Decor Ideas from The Chaos and the Clutter were great for getting kids physically active and aware of current events. I’m excited to try some of the games in my back yard.
Last, I collect most of my DIY Home Decor Ideas while surfing on my cell phone. I am notoriously without enough charge at the end of the day. Several of my friends at Haven had booster chargers and I realized how handy they are to have in your purse. Momma DJane did a review on top tech gadgets to have and her article is worth checking out.
What tech gadget can you NOT live without?
